Turbo Piranha // Concept Art assignment

This is a model I made for my Concept Art course at university.
-
Having never done much organic creature work, I found it hard get started with concepting. In the end, I applied things I learned from doing hardsurface objects: make it functional and somewhat believable!
-
Thus I researched a bit of fish and dolphin anatomy and pieced together what my own concept would need to have under the hood to actually work. The nostrils might be uncomfortable and impractical. In the end, I'm happy how the little pogger turned out!
-
I used Blender to create a Blockout, ZBrush to sculpt and finalize and Substance Painter to achieve a stylized look. Blender (Eevee) was used for the final render aswell.
