The Parabellum pistol, or the Modell 1908 (P08) popularly known as the Luger, is a semi-automatic pistol with a self-loading action.
Unlike most semi-auto pistols that use an external slide, the Luger uses an internal slide operated by an articulated arm.
It was designed by Georg Luger in 1898 and manufactured by the Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabrik (DWM) beginning in 1900. Multiple revisions and improvements have been made up until 1908. Over its long service life, the Luger was produced by several different manufacturers, with far over two million units made in total. This iconic German pistol remains one of the most recognizable handguns in history.

This project has been sitting in the fridge for quite some time. The high poly has been done several months ago, and now with the hot summer days coming to a close, I've finally found me some spare time to wrap it all up.
I also decided to give the presentation some good ol' flavor as if it were a story prop. So the world-building revolves around a secretive expedition into the arctic wasteland โ and how the owner of this Luger got caught in the middle of it. The first half of the presentation follows the in-universe world, and the second half are behind-the-scenes studio shots. This time also with a little FPS animation, rendered in realtime.
