The 2mm Kolibri was the smallest commercially available centerfire cartridge, patented in 1910 and introduced in 1914 by Franz Pfannl, an Austrian watchmaker. With a projectile energy of only 2.8 to 3.25 joules, the cartridge could barely penetrate a softwood board with the thickness of a thumb. Oddly, the Kolibri was marketed as a self-defense weapon.

The name is derived from Kolibri, the German word for hummingbird, which is among the smallest of birds.

In this project I used Blender Cycles for all renders. The textures on the hero object - the Kolibri pistol - were created in Substance painter at a size of 4096x4096 pixels.
